Summary - Camera Mount:

I woke up one fine Saturday and knew I had to do something creative.   With the fall cruising season coming up a camera mount seemed to fit the bill.    Seems to me I saw something like this (at least this design stuck in my head) and so here's the picture story.

[Product Image]I started with a slab of aluminum scrap.   Scribed design to maximize material.

[Product Image]Cut the general shape... slow and steady is the name of the game with aluminum.

[Product Image]Turned a nylon bushing to protect the chrome roll bar.

[Product Image]Milled /drilled holes, cut in half and then tapped threads.

[Product Image]Turned a short riser, tapped holes in either end and screwed in threaded studs.

[Product Image]Here is a pocket camera mounted.  A camcorder also works quite nicely.

[Product Image]Installed.
